We’re selling three (3) Noble and Cooley Zildjian for a client. Bids on the lot are also taken under advisement.
This is the weird one. I have no idea why someone changed the original strainer, but unfortunately someone has. On the awesome side though, the shell looks fine, certainly for 32 years old, the hoops are fine, the lugs are, the tension rods still go pretty well, they could use a good cleaning and some fresh grease though, but that depends on your standards I guess.
So they look really nice for their age, but they have been played on and that shows. I don’t have certificates of authenticity for any of them. That being said, they sound great – really REALLY loud – and these are only going up in value since many of the shells have cracked under stress and as a result have been lost forever. Unless you want one which has been welded back together that is..

Decide for yourself if you want a piece of drumming history in your collection, knowing that the value will only go up. On that matter, take a look at the last picture which is a screenshot of a listing on Reverb on 2022-02-22. There’s only one 1990 N&C / Zildjian listed for € 4800.
